The Toshiba Classic is the most charitable event on the Champions Tour. It has raised more than $10 million for charity in the last 10 years alone.

The lead charity and event organizer of the Toshiba Classic is Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian, an acute-care, not-for-profit community hospital located in Newport Beach. The 498-bed hospital is home to more than 1,000 doctors and 4,000 employees.

Located on the bayside bluffs overlooking Newport Beach, Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian stands atop the list of the finest medical facilities in Southern California.

Fully accredited by The Joint Commission and designated as a Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian is a 498-bed acute care, not-for-profit hospital that offers a comprehensive mix of health care services, including Centers of Excellence in cancer, heart and vascular, neurosciences, orthopedics and women's health.

Recent studies released by HealthGrades place Hoag among the top 5% of hospitals in the nation for both Clinical Excellence and Patient Safety. National Research Corporation has endorsed Hoag as Orange County's most preferred hospital for the past 12 consecutive years. And for an unprecedented 12 years, residents of Orange County have chosen Hoag as the county's best hospital in a local newspaper survey.

Since opening in 1952, Hoag has grown from 75 licensed beds to 498; from 68 physicians to more than 1,000; and from 60 employees to more than 4,000. Hoag's reputation as a state-of-the-art community hospital has expanded just as quickly.

Hoag delivers a level of personalized attention that is unsurpassed among Orange County's healthcare providers. It is this balance of technology and sensitive care that prompts nearly 26,000 inpatients and 200,000 outpatients to choose Hoag annually.
