The tournament means many things to Birmingham-Hoover, Alabama. It is the major sporting attraction capturing national attention, as well as bringing more than 140,000 people to Birmingham-Hoover each year. The Regions Charity Classic presented by Bruno's Supermarkets is good for local charity, our visitors and our people. It is also good for the City of Hoover, the City of Birmingham and the State of Alabama.

The Regions Charity Classic presented by Bruno's Supermarkets Champions Tour golf tournament's original objectives were to provide the state of Alabama with yearly professional golf entertainment and substantial donations to local charities. With 16 tournaments under its belt, the original objectives have been surpassed many times.
