SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - AT&T has agreed to extend its sponsorship with the PGA TOUR for the 2008 Champions Tour AT&T
Champions Classic, Brian Fitzgerald, Tournament Chairman, announced today.
The host site for the 2008 event has not yet been finalized. The event has been played at Valencia Country Club since 2001
with the upcoming AT&T Champions Classic slated for March 12-18 at the challenging Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed course,
located north of Los Angeles in the Santa Clarita Valley.
"We are pleased to start the New Year by making this announcement as AT&T continues to enjoy a great relationship with
the PGA TOUR and especially this Champions Tour event in the Los Angeles market," Fitzgerald said. "We continue to build this
event off a strong foundation that has been established over the last few years, and AT&T takes great pride in bringing
this event to the many golf fans in the area, as well as to a nationally-televised audience. Our hope is to have the host
site details finalized in the very near future."
Tickets for this year's 54-hole stroke-play event are available to purchase online at www.attchampionsclassic.com with a variety of ticket packages available or by calling 661-260-1897. Tom
Kite is the defending champion and tournament play for the 2007 event is scheduled to start on Friday, March 16.
