northern Nevada Charities benefit to the tune of $1.5 Million.

Reno, NV (March 14 2006)- Since 1999 northern Nevada charities have benefited to the tue of over $1.5 Milllion dollars from the good will and community outreach of the Reno Tahoe Open Foundation. The 2005 tournament was no exception with northern Nevada charites receiveing $225,000 as a direct result of the foundations mission and the PGA TOUR's objective to give back to local communities where tournaments are hosted.

Jim Kline, Reno Tahoe Open Tournament director said " Giving back is the number one mission of the PGA TOUR and the Reno Tahoe Open.  As the tournament continues to grow northern Nevada charites are directly impacted. The community has been wonderful in supporting the tournament from the begining and it's all made possible by the contributions from our sponsors, enthusiastic fans and our dedicated volunteers."
