RENO, Nev. -- The 2004 Reno-Tahoe Open, scheduled for Aug. 16-22, will again need approximately 1,000
volunteers for this year's PGA TOUR event at Montreux Golf & Country Club in Reno.
"Our goal is to organize and host a prestigious sporting event that is enjoyable for all involved," said Jim Kline, tournament
director. "This is a community event and volunteers are absolutely the heart and soul of its success. Whether you are a golf
fan or not, being a volunteer at a PGA TOUR event will provide you with a lifetime of memories."
Volunteers receive two tournament shirts, a hat, meal tickets for days worked, parking and shuttle to and from the course
and two week-long tournament passes. A $60 volunteer uniform fee is charged.
Prospective volunteers need not be golfers and no previous golf tournament experience is required. A minimum commitment
of three days during the tournament week is required, but volunteers are encouraged to go beyond that.
Volunteer applications for the 2004 Reno-Tahoe Open are available at 300 South Wells Ave., Suite 7, Reno, Nev., 89502,
or by calling (775) 322-3900.
