Friends of Children's Hospital

Century Club Charities has adopted the Friends of Children's Hospital as their primary charity.  Friends is a non-profit organization created to benefit the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children.  Batson is Mississippi's only hospital built specifically for the care and emergency treatment of children.  Friends of Children's Hospital ensures their patients have everything from stuffed animals to state-of-the-art medical equipment.

All tournament proceeds form this year's event will go to benefit this organization.

The Goal:
Generating charity dollars for Mississippi 501c (3) charitable organizations.

The Program:
Birdies For Charity is open to ANY 501c (3) charity in the state. Century Club Charities, Inc. will provide all training necessary for successful pledge solicitation. CCC will also provide billing and collection efforts, collateral material, promotional items, fabulous prizes and all administrative duties. One hundred percent of the collected pledges goes to you.

The Application:
"Birdies" works on pledges secured by representatives of the charitable organization. Pledges are based on the number of birdies made Wednesday through Sunday during tournament week at the Viking Classic. In 2007, 1,498 birdies were made. A minimum pledge of one penny per birdie would generate $14.98 for the designated charity.

The Results:
In seven years of operating Birdies For Charity, over 350 charities have received over $2 million with no fundraising or operating expenses.

The Contact:
Doug Garner will be available to explain the program, train your workers, and answer any questions. Call Doug at (601) 898-GOLF or (866) 898-GOLF outside of Jackson. You can also e-mail Doug at doug@vikingclassic.com.

The Winners:
Mississippi's charities are winners here. This program will enable many more organizations to be involved with Century Club's efforts to raise more dollars than ever. Remember, 100 percent of your pledges is returned to your charity.
