HARTFORD, Conn., Thursday, May 22, 2008- The Travelers Championship player field has gained international
appeal with the commitment of Australian Stuart Appleby, currently the No. 26 ranked player in the world. Fan favorites Billy
Mayfair and Chad Campbell will also return to compete this year, both having finished in the top-25 at the tournament in 2007.
The Travelers Championship tees off at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Conn., June 16 - 22.

Nine-time PGA TOUR winner Stuart Appleby began the year with three consecutive top-10 finishes and
has earned a total of five top-10 finishes this season. In 2007, Appleby recorded three top-10 finishes, including a finish
of tied for seventh at the Masters, marking his fourth top-10 finish at a major championship. He closed out 2007 ranked No.
30 in the FedExCup rankings, which is the same position he holds for the current year. Appleby has been a member of five President's
Cup teams, including the 2007 team, as well as three Dunhill Cup teams and one World Cup team.
Fan favorite Billy Mayfair returns for his 17th appearance at Connecticut's PGA TOUR event, having earned
a top-10 finish at the tournament last year when he tied for ninth after posting weekend rounds of 66 and 68. This season,
Mayfair has had two top-10 finishes including a tied for second at the PODS Championship, which was his 14th career runner
up.
Chad Campbell currently ranks No. 20 in Scoring Averages on the PGA TOUR and is No. 27 on the PGA TOUR
money list. Campbell's best finish this season came at the Shell Houston Open, where he finished tied for second. More recently,
Campbell also had a great showing at The PLAYERS Championship, finishing tied for 10th and being one of just eight players
to break par on Sunday, carding the low round of the day with a 4-under par 68. Campbell earned his fourth PGA TOUR win last
year at the Viking Classic, where he was the first player in the past 10 years to win the event after not playing in the final
group on Sunday. His additional victories include a 2003 win at The TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola.
The Travelers Championship is the PGA TOUR's only early summer stop in the Northeast. Information about the Travelers Championship
