EDS Byron Nelson Championship

IRVING, Texas--The Salesmanship Club of Dallas, sponsor of the EDS Byron Nelson Championship, announced today that it has increased the purse for the 2007 championship to $6.3 million. The Champion's share will be $1,134,000.

The prize money represents a $100,000 increase over 2006. The champion will earn more than $1 million for the fifth straight year.

The 2007 EDS Byron nelson Championship will be played April 25-29 at the TPC Four Seasons Resort Las Colinas in Irving, Texas. For details, visit www.byronnelson.pgatour.com.

About the EDS Byron Nelson Championship                                    The EDS Byron Nelson Championship, the first PGA TOUR event named after a professional golfer, has provided more money to charity than any other stop on the PGA TOUR. The 2006 Championship donated more than $6.4 million to Salesmanship Club Youth and Family Centers (SCYFC). More than $94 million has been raised for SCYFC since the tournament's inception, and this year the Champioship will surpass the $100 million milestone in total charitable giving.
