Irving, Texas -- The Salesmanship Club of Dallas, sponsor of the EDS Byron Nelson Championship, announced
today that it has sold out all of its sponsorship and ticket packages for the 2004 tournament. This is the eighth consecutive
year the tournament has sold out. A limited number of individual tickets and season badges are available to the general public
through Ticketmaster.
"We are thrilled to have again reached a sellout for the EDS Byron Nelson Championship," said 2004 Tournament Chairman
Steve Barley. "Golf patrons throughout the Metroplex have shown their love for this event. We have a very limited number of
individual tickets available through Ticketmaster. Anyone who is interested in attending the tournament should purchase their
tickets as quickly as possible."
Spectators attending the tournament are encouraged to arrive early and utilize the convenient Texas Stadium Shuttle, which
will drop them off at the main entrance. Admission to the tournament is free on Monday, May 10, and Tuesday, May 11. No cellular
phones are allowed and only pagers set to vibrate will be permitted on the course at any time. No cameras will be permitted
beginning Thursday, May 13.
The EDS Byron Nelson Championship, the only PGA TOUR tournament named after a professional golfer, annually provides more
money to charity than any other stop on the PGA TOUR. Last year, the tournament donated $5.79 million to the Salesmanship
Club Youth and Family centers, Inc.
The 2004 EDS Byron Nelson Championship will be played at the TPC Four Seasons Resort Las Colinas in Irving, Texas, for
the 22nd year. It is scheduled for May 12-16 and will mark the 60th anniversary of Byron Nelson's win at the 1944 Texas Victory
Open. For details, visit www.byronnelson.pgatour.com.
