January 22, 2004 IRVING, Texas -- The Salesmanship Club of Dallas announced today that tickets for
the 2004 EDS Byron Nelson Championship are now available for purchase through Ticketmaster. A sellout for the previous seven
tournaments, this year's event is again expected to draw the top golfers in the world. The 2004 purse totals $5.8 million
and marks the second year the champion will earn more than $1 million.
Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster by logging onto www.ticketmaster.com
or by visiting any Ticketmaster outlet located in Foley's, Fiesta Supermarkets and Wherehouse Music.
"By utilizing Ticketmaster's resources, we are able to provide Dallas area golf fans, as well as golf fans around the country,
with additional and convenient options for purchasing tickets to our tournament," said 2004 tournament chairman Steve Barley.
"Through Ticketmaster, we will be able to reach a broader audience, which will enable us to provide more fans with the best
possible opportunity in the Metroplex to see top-ranked golfers at a world-class event."
The 2004 EDS Byron Nelson Championship will be played at the Tournament Players Course at the Four Seasons Resort Las Colinas
in Irving, Texas, for the 22nd year. It is scheduled for May 12-16 and will mark the 60th anniversary of Byron Nelson's win
at the 1944 Texas Victory Open. For details, visit www.BYRONNELSON.PGATOUR.com.
The EDS Byron Nelson Championship, the only PGA TOUR tournament named after a professional golfer, annually provides more
money to charity than any other stop on the PGA TOUR. Last year, the tournament donated $5.74 million to the Salesmanship
Club Youth and Family Centers, Inc.
