![]() Having a strong foundation is essential for any successful business. The Century Club of San Diego is the "support" organization along with corporate sponsor Buick. These two entities work in tandem to bring our community the Buick Invitational, a nationally acclaimed sporting event over the beautifully manicured Torrey Pines Golf Courses in La Jolla. San Diego has been a part of the international golf world for the past 48 years as the Buick Invitational brings together the top players in the world. Leading the charge behind the success of the Buick Invitational is the Century Club of San Diego. As a non-profit organization, The Century Club has donated over $13 million to charity from tournament proceeds since the event moved to Torrey Pines in 1968. By charter, The Century Club also is the primary funding base for the highly successful San Diego County Junior Golf Association. Graduates of this program include Craig Stadler, Phil Mickelson, Scott Simpson, Lennie Clements, Todd Demsey and Phil Rodgers and Leta Lindley to name a few. Both Stadler and Mickelson each captured the Buick Invitational in 1993 and 1994. The Century Club of San Diego can be reached by calling (619) 281-4653. |
