The Chattanooga Lookouts are proud to announce that they have agreed to partner with the Chattanooga Classic and the Nationwide
Tour in 2006.
For the first time, the Classic will hold a short game contest that will involve division qualifying at the Chattanooga
Golf Center in May. The contest will run for five days and will involve junior, open, and senior divisions for men and women.
The finals will be held on the evening of June 20th at Bellsouth Park prior to the Lookouts 7:15 game against the Carolina
Mudcats.
"This is the first chance we've had to partner with the Lookouts because they have never been at home at the same time
we've had our event," said Classic executive director Sam Woolwine. "It's a privilege to be able to work with Frank Burke
and his staff. The Lookouts have a great legacy in our city."
More information about the short game contest will be forthcoming closer to the qualifying date. Chattem will sponsor
the event.
In addition to the short game finals on the 20th, a Nationwide Tour player will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at
each game from June 19th-23rd.
"We are excited to be able to play a small part in such a great event. The Chattanooga Classic is one of the signature
events in the city, and we're proud to be involved," stated Chattanooga Lookout's GM and President, Frank Burke.
Tickets for the June 20th game and all 2006 Lookouts games are on sale now at the Lookouts' Box office, over the phone
