 WICHITA, Kan. - June 1, 2008 - The free Cox Community Concert featuring Air Supply will officially kick-off the 19th annual
Wichita Open golf tournament. The concert will take place at Crestview Country Club on August 2.
The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert will begin at 8 p.m. Parking will be available at Hawker Beechcraft, and shuttle
buses will begin running from Hawker to Crestview at 6:15 p.m.
Admission to the concert is free, but concert goers must have a ticket. Tickets will be available at all Cox Communications
locations -725 E. Douglas, 8338 E. 21st Street and at 2556 N. Maize Road - and at Clear Channel Radio, 9323 E 37th Street
North, beginning June 2.
"Cox Communications is excited to bring this free concert to Wichita in conjunction with the Wichita Open," said Kimberly
Edmunds, senior regional vice president for Cox Kansas/Arkansas. "It's a great opportunity for the people of our community
to spend time with friends and family while enjoying the music of Air Supply."
Ticket holders are encouraged to arrive early due to the crowd that is expected to attend.
"This is the third year Cox Communications has sponsored the free community concert," said Roy Turner, Wichita Open tournament
director. "They're a great sponsor, and with great music, a gorgeous setting, this year's concert promises to be one of the
best community events of the year."
