SINGAPORE -- Julieta Granada, a rookie on the LPGA Tour who recently became a millionaire after winning the ADT Championship, said Thursday she was working on improving her distance ahead of next month's Lexus Cup, a Ryder Cup-style golf challenge to be played in Singapore.

Granada, 20, from Paraguay, was among the final additions to an international team of 12 women golfers led by top-ranked Annika Sorenstam that will play against an Asian team under South Korea's Grace Park in the tournament.

"My weakness is probably that I don't hit as far as some of the other girls do, that's why I need to work hard on this," Granada said in a teleconference with reporters in Singapore from Florida, where she is based. "My strength is probably my accuracy and my mental toughness."

Granada, ranked 16th in the world and fourth on the money list, got her first LPGA Tour victory in the Nov. 19 ADT Championship at Trump International when she topped an eight-player final-round field with a bogey-free round of 68.

She took home most of the U.S. $1.55 million purse, which pushed her season's earnings to U.S. $1,633,586.

Granada, who won the 2004 South American Team Championship team and individual titles, said she was hoped her experience in team tournaments would help the International team defend the inaugural title it won last year with a 16-8 score.

"I really love team play, I always give a hundred percent on it. I just hope I bring jokes and some fun spirit and positivity. You can just root for everybody and have a good time," Granada said. "Just having Annika as captain is really special, she's the best player."

The International team also features Americans Paula Creamer, Natalie Gulbis, and veteran Sherri Steinhauer. Other Americans in the team include teenager Morgan Pressel, Brittany Lincicome, 13th on the money list, Stacy Prammanasudh and Angela Stanford. English star Laura Davies, Swede Carin Koch and Australian Nikki Campbell complete the roster.

The Asian team, which is captained by Park despite a below-par year that saw the former top-10 player slip to 99th in the world, includes eight other South Korean players.

Pak Se Ri will be making her Lexus debut during a season that included a major title and five top-10 finishes, with teammates and fellow Koreans Han Hee-won, a double LPGA Tour winner in 2006 and ninth on the money list, Lee Seon-hwa, Lee Jee Young and Meena Lee. Shi Hyun Ahn, Kim Joo Mi and Kim Young are also in the team.

The other players in the Asian squad are Candie Kung of Taiwan, Jennifer Rosales of the Philippines, and Sakura Yokomine of Japan.

The LPGA-sanctioned tournament will be held from Dec. 15-17 at Singapore's Tanah Merah Country Club. Each member of the winning team will pocket U.S. $50,000.
