SYNOPSIS
 Tom Fazio's Crabapple Course at the Capital City Club was playing like a major venue with lush rough and greens that none other than Tiger Woods deemed "harder and faster than Augusta National." The field averaged 74.08 but Woods had gotten to 8 under for the tournament -- two strokes ahead of Vijay Singh -- with one round remaining. The big Fijian closed to within a shot early but Woods held steady and eventually won by two over Singh, Tim Herron and Stuart Appleby. Woods regained the No. 1 spot on the money list with his fifth win of the season. "This week required almost a U.S. Open mentality, and having to play conservative isn't bad," Woods said. "You have to be precise. You don't have to go out there and shoot 66 every day to have a chance to win the tournament."
