Jim Furyk posted an ace on the par-3, 206-yard 15th hole using a 6-iron. It marked the second hole-in-one in tournament history. Stewart Cink aced the 15th in the final round in 2000.

In 30 career rounds at the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational, Tiger Woods has led following 13 of the rounds, including 13 of 26 at Firestone Country Club. Woods holds a one-stroke lead over Davis Love III entering the weekend.

With his third straight victory at the PGA Championship, Tiger Woods notched three or more consecutive PGA TOUR titles for the fourth time in his career and the first time since the 2001 season.
2006 -- British Open Championship, Buick Open, PGA Championship
2001 -- Bay Hill Invitational, PLAYERS Championship, Masters Tournament
2000 -- PGA Championship, WGC-NEC Invitational, Bell Canadian Open
1999-2000 -- WGC-NEC Invitational, National Car Rental Golf Classic at Walt Disney World Resort, THE TOUR Championship, WGC-American Express Championship, Mercedes Championships, AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am

Kevin Stadler is competing in his first World Golf Championship this week, having qualified after winning the 2006 Johnnie Walker Classic on the European Tour. Stadler is currently 14th on the Nationwide Tour Money List with $166,937 in earnings in 10 starts. He won the Xerox Classic two weeks ago, his third career Nationwide Tour victory. Stadler’s father Craig was a two-time winner at Firestone Country Club, having won the World Series of Golf in 1982 and 1992.

In his last three-plus starts, Tiger Woods has been a leader/co-leader after eight of the 14 rounds.

Tiger Woods (64) now has 19 rounds in the 60s in 26 trips around Firestone Country Club’s South Course. The 64 matched his low round of the season, an opening 64 en route to victory at the Ford Championship at Doral.

There have been only nine players to post four rounds in the 60s at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, the last being Lee Westwood in 2004. Nine players currently have the opportunity to do so through 36 holes: Tiger Woods, Davis Love III, Jim Furyk, Kevin Stadler, Lucas Glover, Ernie Els, Luke Donald, Brad Faxon and Paul Casey.

Tiger Woods has held previous 36-hole leads/co-leads on the PGA TOUR, with him winning on 24 of those occasions. This year, only 11 of 34 second-round leaders/co-leader have gone on to victory, the last being Corey Pavin at the U.S. Bank Championship.
