With a comfortable advantage over my fellow experts, my primary objective is how to maximize my remaining allotment of starts for Woods. I’ll have three remaining after this week’s automatic investment.

Steve
Stricker
I talked myself out of picking Tiger to win because he's actually appeared mortal in his last three trips to Firestone. Since 2010, Stricker has played better than Woods in this event.

Keegan Bradley, Rickie Fowler

Rickie
Fowler
If the commercial is to be believed, Fowler may be color blind but that won't stop him from posting plenty of red at Firestone CC. The 2011 runner-up here has three consecutive top-25 finishes on U.S. soil and, at 45th in the FedExCup, needs to make a move to get back to the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola.

Keegan
Bradley
I know it's tough to successfully defend a title but Keegan Bradley is a pretty darn determined competitor. Not only did he win last year's Bridgestone Invitational, he had a chance to win in his 2011 debut at Firestone before faltering on the back nine on Sunday.
John
Schwarb
Bill Haas, Adam Scott
Henrik Stenson, Tiger Woods

Henrik
Stenson
A little bit of an off-the-board pick but a lot of things are in the former PLAYERS champ's favor, like his No. 1 ranking in fairways and No. 2 in greens -- two stats especially attractive for big, beefy Firestone.
Bill
Cooney
Keegan Bradley, Dustin Johnson
Adam Scott, Tiger Woods

Dustin

DJ appears to be heating up again just in time for the FedExCup Playoffs. Solid finish in Canada. Bradley, Woods and Scott seem like logical picks for this course.
Ryan
Smithson
Keegan Bradley, Justin Rose
Adam Scott, Tiger Woods

Adam
Scott
This might be the toughest week of the year to pick -- so many people play well at Firestone. I am going to punt and use three recent winners here ... plus Rose. Scott's had such a good year; I have seven picks left with him and will use him every week from here on out.

The Masters champion will pick up his second Bridgestone title this week (first came in 2011). He's played well in all this year's big events, including a T3 most recently at The Open.
Bryan
Mullen
Matt Kuchar, Thorbjorn Olesen
Steve Stricker, Tiger Woods
Steve
Stricker
Stricker has three top-10 finishes in his last four trips to Akron and has already won once in Ohio (2011 Memorial Tournament). Even with his light 2013 schedule, Stricker has five top-10 finishes in eight starts. For anyone who didn't major in math, that's 62.5 percent of his starts.
Brian
Wacker
Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson
Justin Rose, Tiger Woods

Tiger
Woods
He's won there seven times and for all his weekend struggles at majors this season Woods still has four wins at familiar venues. This one won't be any different -- as long as he has fixed his putting.
John
Swantek
Nicolas Colsaerts, Rory McIlroy
Adam, Scott, Tiger Woods

Rory
McIlroy
Maybe a limited field, no-cut event on as big golf course is exactly what Rory needs to free wheel it and shake out of his doldrums. Feels like a reach, but nobody can flip the switch like this guy.
Sean
Martin
Keegan Bradley, Rory McIlroy
Steve Stricker, Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods
No one in the field can match his record at Firestone. It's not even close. I'm not really sure there's another sensible pick.
Amanda
Balionis
Dustin Johnson,
Steve Stricker, Lee Westwood

Lee
Westwood
Westwood is coming off a disappointing finish at The Open Championship after having the win in his sights but will use that as motivation to come back and win in Akron. Experience doesn't hurt either and the Englishmen has played in more WGC events than anyone in the field.
