Averaging just over 120 feet in distance of putts made per round at the FBR Open, Aaron Baddeley putted his way to his second career victory on the PGA TOUR. During the course of the event, he was 2 for 5 on his attempts from 15 to 20 feet and 4 for 6 from 20-25 feet. He also holed four putts from over 25 feet.
Overall on the greens, Baddeley ranked first in putting average, birdie conversion percentage, average distance of putts made and putts per round. He also tied for third in one-putt percentage, only requiring a single putt on 51.39 percent of the greens. All of this added up to Baddeley leading the field in par-breaker percentage and tying for fifth in scrambling percentage -- not to mention, the all-important win.

Fewest Putts

Aaron Baddeley started his first round of the FBR Open by one-putting nine consecutive greens. His streak tied Charles Warren, Robert Garrigus, Woody Austin, and Mark Calcavecchia for the longest on TOUR in 2007. During 2006, there were 25 players that had streaks of at least nine consecutive one-putts with Jerry Kelly leading the way with 13. Going back to 1995 the longest one-putt streak on record belongs to Ken Schall, who holed 16 consecutive one-putts in 1996.
| LONGEST ONE-PUTT STREAKS |
| 1995-2007 |
| Year | Player | Consecutive One-Putts | | 1996 | Ken Schall | 16 | | 2002 | John Maginnes | 14 | | 2001 | Peter Jacobsen | 14 | | 2000 | Blaine McCalister | 14 | | 2000 | Eric Booker | 14 | | 1997 | Gary Hallberg | 14 | | 1996 | Greg Kraft | 14 | |
While Baddeley's one-putt streak was impressive, the more important fact is that he only needed 20 putts to finish his opening round at the FBR Open. Since 2003, there have only been 20 rounds recorded at stroke play events where a player used 20 or fewer putts to complete a round in an official event.
