
The PGA TOUR launched its free iPad app on Tuesday. With the app, PGA TOUR fans can quickly access a robust set of real-time information from each of the weekly tournaments through an intuitive and elegant at-a-glance display. From leaderboards to course information to a player explorer, fans can engage with the PGA TOUR in a completely new and interactive way.
"There's a lot of useful stuff for the pros and the fans alike," said TOUR pro Brendan Steele.
APP FEATURES
Leaderboard/Standings: Full leaderboard stats including tee times, position, thru hole, FedExCup points, round scores, player country, video highlights and more.
Player Cards: See player scorecards, play-by-play detail and tournament stats.

Plus: TOUR schedules, course weather conditions, birdie/bogey streaks, TV times, TOUR tweets and more.
HOME VIEW
The home view gives the user a main dashboard to access everything from a single screen. Presented within the home view are the leaderboard, video clips, TV times, weather, highlighted players, and a contextualized news/social feed. Additionally, users can access the video wall, player explorer, course information, stats and schedule from the navigation bar at the top right.
PLAYER CARDS
Player cards can be accessed in the app from the leaderboard and stats page. Player cards include scoring information, par performance and each player's tournament statistics vs. the field. Additional player cards that highlight year-to-date performance can be accessed from the FedExCup/money standings as well as the player explorer.
PLAYER EXPLORER
Tile View: Within the tile view version of the player explorer, users can thumb through a wall of headshots that highlight each player's country and birthplace. Clicking on a player's tile brings up a player card that shows year-to-date performance relative to their career.
Map View: Within the map view users can see the birthplaces of all TOUR players on an interactive map. Clicking on a city brings up the list of players who were born in that city and then provides access to the year-to-date player cards
STATS AND COURSE INFORMATION
Hole View: This page allows users to see all 18 holes of the host course and select individual holes to get detailed information. When a hole is selected, the center panel reveals tournament statistics for each hole as well as hole descriptions and layouts when available.
Stats: Within the application is a statistics page where users can get tournament performance data for scoring average, driving distance, driving accuracy, greens in regulation, scrambling percentage and Strokes Gained-Putting.
VIDEO WALL
Users can access the video wall from the navigation menu in order to see all the latest highlights and other video clips Users can view videos with a module that gives a detailed description or expand to show full screen.
