Brett Wetterich toggled between the Nationwide Tour and the PGA TOUR last season with one victory on the Nationwide Tour.
Wetterich, who was on the Ryder Cup team in 2006, won the Chitimacha Louisiana Open for the second time in his career. He also won the tournament in 2003.
One advantage Wetterich, 38, brings is his length off the tee where he ranked fourth in driving distance at 315.1 yards. If he could harness that length a little better he could have an even better year in 2012. Last season he ranked just 104th on the Nationwide Tour in driving accuracy.
After winning on the Nationwide Tour early in the season he also played on the PGA TOUR and wound up playing eight times where he made six cuts and had three top 25s.
On the Nationwide Tour he wound up 29th on the money list playing in 18 tournaments and making six cuts.
Wetterich tried to make a late run up the money list on the Nationwide Tour but struggled on the weekend at the Nationwide Tour Championship and finished 153rd.
Wetterich and James Nitties each won last season on the Nationwide Tour but didn't do enough to stay inside the top 25. If Wetterich focuses his full season on the Nationwide Tour, his length off the tee should go a long way to helping him have a better season in 2012.
Take a closer look at Wetterich's stats from the 2011 Nationwide Tour season.
