MORE INTERVIEWS: Crowne Plaza Invitational transcript archive

Q. (Inaudible)?

RICKIE FOWLER: It's a great field, best fans. They treat us really good here. It's a fun place to come play.

Q. Can you talk about your round?

RICKIE FOWLER: Today, I got off to a nice start. I had things going on through the first 10 or 11 holes. I made a few bad swings. I started going the wrong direction. Obviously, not the way I wanted to finish the tournament. I was looking to put together a good round today and move myself up the leaderboard but unfortunately wasn't able to do that.

Q. Kind of take us through the middle rounds when you kind of were getting into the thick of things, what were you feeling?

RICKIE FOWLER: Actually I got off to a great start the first day, Friday. And Saturday I played okay. On Friday. Saturday, yesterday, I struggled a bit. I wanted to put myself into position coming into today and unfortunately yesterday I wasn't able to do that. I put myself further back coming into the final round.

Q. Over here on 9, a good putt you made, elaborate on that?

RICKIE FOWLER: Yes, 9 kind of owed me one after Thursday, making double there, 63. I came in somewhat in the same spot that I had on Thursday. I hit a great shot in there, had about 12 feet, rolled it in the middle. And a good finish on the front 9. I was looking to do better on the back. But unfortunately I couldn't start it a little bit.

Q. You had a short birdie putt on 13 in the water, the wheels sort of fell off?

RICKIE FOWLER: A great looking birdie there. I hit a good shot there. I pushed the putt a bit. It wasn't what I was trying to do. I had a miss there. 13, I started it a little further right than I want to. The ball got knocked down by the wind and there is water short right of that green. And, yes, it's tough to come back from that. I felt like I made some good swings after that.

14 and 15 I hit some pretty good shots. I missed it a little bit out of the fairway on 14 there. 15, I felt like I hit a really good shot in the green. It one hopped to the back of the green and made bogey. It was a fine line out there. The winds are gusting a bit. It doesn't take much to miss and make bogey pretty quickly.

Q. It's almost like a home game, I see a lot of orange out there. Did you kind of feel that to?

RICKIE FOWLER: No, it's great to have a lot of Cowboy fans out here. A lot of kids are wearing orange to be supportive. I love having a good fan base, a good following. It was nice to have people following you.

Q. What are you doing next week?

RICKIE FOWLER: This is my 5th week in a row. I'm looking for some down time.

Q. How is your wrist, I know you had a motorcycle injury back when you were 14; overall do you feel good? Playing four rounds there is no lingering effects or anything?

RICKIE FOWLER: When I was 15 I broke my foot and blew out my knee. I broke my left wrist on a bicycle when I was 5. I'm 100%.
