Round 3 player notes
Here are some of the players you'll see on the Golf Channel's coverage of Sunday's final round
ROBERT GARRIGUS
Has a shot to win on the PGA TOUR for the second time in three months. His painful loss last June at Memphis is still mentioned, but the long, downhill par-5 18th doesn't have a lake -- or many trees. He has only missed three greens all week.
STEVE STRICKER
The battle to gain the world's No. 1 ranking is as heated as ever, and Stricker can get an early jump on the race with a win on Sunday. His play in the wind on Saturday was one of the better ball-striking rounds ever at Kapalua. He's awfully comfortable here, and he doesn't give up as many yards off the tee as you think, to go alongside his second-in-the-field driving accuracy.
JONATHAN BYRD
Byrd, like Garrigus, has shot out of the gate this week after winning late last year. He's made only a bogey a day for three rounds, and he missed only two greens despite the wind on Saturday. He has also a perfect 39 for 39 in putts of five feet and in.
