Player Notes
Here are some of the players you'll see during Friday's coverage on the Golf Channel:
JEFF QUINNEY
The 2000 U.S. Amateur champion who played collegiately at Arizona State, is in his fifth season on TOUR. In his first two years on TOUR (2007-08), Quinney recorded a total of eight top-10s, but has only four in the subsequent three years (2009-11). Quinney is 215th in the FedExCup standings and would need a second-place finish to play his way into The PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup. He finished 126th in the FedExCup standings in 2010 and missed The Playoffs by just two points.
PAUL CASEY
Paul Casey is making his second career start at Wyndham Championship, having finished T26 in 2008. Currently No. 147 in the FedExCup standings, Casey trails No. 125 Camilo Villegas by 62 points entering this weeks action with 258 points.
WEBB SIMPSON
After a dreadful start (3 overthrough 4), Webb Simpson rebounded to shoot 7 under over his final 14 holes in Round 1. The Wake Forest graduate sits 12th in the FedExCup standings and is the highest-ranked player without a 2011 PGA TOUR victory.
