
Jim Colbert will reach a milestone when he tees it up at the Allianz Championship Feb. 11-13 in Boca Raton, Fla.. -- his 500th career start on the Champions Tour. Colbert is a two-time winner of the Jack Nicklaus Trophy as the Champions Tour Player of the Year (1995 & 1996)
He also won the Arnold Palmer Award as the Tour's leading money-winner (1995 and 1996).
He owns 20 career wins on the Champions Tour and is tied for 8th on the all-time list.
Was the Champions Tour Comeback Player of the Year in 1998 after coming back from prostate cancer surgery.
Colbert owns one major title, the 1993 Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship, holding off Raymond Floyd.
Colbert shot his age -- 62 -- in a major, the youngest Champions player to do so. His 8-under 62 came in the second round of the Senior British Open Championship in 2003.
Colbert will turn 70 on March 9. In his first Tour season of 1991 he won Rookie of the Year honors, finishing third on the money list after winning three times and finishing second five times.
