Groups we're watching
Tee time Players
1:40 p.m. ET
No. 1
Bubba Watson, Bill Haas
Haas moved up five spots on the leaderboard with a 67 Friday and he'll need to continue that trend if he has any hope of making The Presidents Cup team. Watson matched the low score of the week so far with a 64.
1:50 p.m. ET
No. 1
Jason Day, Luke Donald
Day shot 67 for a second straight day to move up into a tie for third with Donald, who has five straight rounds in the 60s and has shot above 70 just three times in this year's Playoffs.
2:01 p.m. ET
No. 1
Adam Scott, K.J. Choi
Scott was spectacular with a 65 that included birdies on his final two holes. If things stay as-is, he'll win the FedExCup.

WHAT TO WATCH IN ROUND 3
Odd couple: Though Bubba Watson says East Lake doesn't fit his eye very well, his play speaks otherwise through the first two rounds. Story

Good problem to have: Who will be Fred Couples' other captain's pick? With the way the candidates are playing, it will be a tough choice. Story

Player Notes
Here are some of the players you'll see during Saturday's coverage:
ADAM SCOTT
This marks the 11th time Adam Scott has held the lead/co-lead after the second round on the PGA TOUR, most recently finishing T8 at the 2011 Deutsche Bank Championship. He has won six of the previous 10 events, most recently the 2011 World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational. This is Scott's sixth start at the TOUR Championship. Friday's 5-under 65 equals his best score in 22 rounds at the event.
JASON DAY
Day, who along with Scott, finished runner-up to Charl Schwartzel at this year's Masters, is back in contention in the Peach State after a second straight 3-under 67 to sit two off the lead. Day finished T17 in 2010 in his only previous start at the TOUR Championship. Day has performed progressively better in each of his Playoffs appearances, finishing 83rd, 48th and eighth each of the last three years.
LUKE DONALD
Donald won the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship in February and has played at a consistently high level throughout 2011. He has 12 top-10 finishes in 17 starts on TOUR, including a runner-up finish at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. His remarkable regular season placed him fourth in FedExCup points heading into the Playoffs. A T3 at the Deutsche Bank Championship and strong showings at the other Playoffs events have protected his position within the top five and put him within striking distance of winning the FedExCup.
BUBBA WATSON
Watson carded a 6-under 64 on Friday, his best round in 10 trips around East Lake GC. He is making his third start at the event (T17-2010, 30-2008). Watson is seeking his third win of the season (Farmers Insurance Open, Zurich Classic of New Orleans). He held the No. 1 spot in the FedExCup standings for five weeks following his win in New Orleans. His 64 also equals his best round of the season -- he shot 64 in the second round at the Deutsche Bank Championship, where he tied for 16th.
KEEGAN BRADLEY
First-round leader Bradley, winner of the 2011 PGA Championship and HP Byron Nelson Championship, posted a 1-over 71 to fall to T5, three strokes behind Scott. Of the 11 rookies who began the Playoffs, Bradley is the only one to advance to the TOUR Championship.
WEBB SIMPSON
FedExCup points-leader Webb Simpson followed a 2-under 68 with a 70 to sit T19 with two rounds remaining. He is currently projected No. 2 in the FedExCup standings. Simpson entered the TOUR Championship as the only player to post top-10 finishes in all three Playoffs events.
