I wish I could say that things have started to slow down a little, but it still seems as if I am going 100 mph. First, I want to thank the hundreds and hundreds of people who took the time to go to our website and find a way to send me an e-mail. The fan support started after THE PLAYERS Championship and continued after the win at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. The kind words and congratulations everyone sent is amazing. I hope you understand that unfortunately I can't respond to all the emails, but please know that I read them all and I really do appreciate it.

Following the playoff loss to K.J. Choi at THE PLAYERS, I was certainly disappointed but there was never a point where I felt it would have a negative impact. I knew I played great golf for four days and there was no reason for me to believe that was going to change. Confidence plays a significant role in golf, and I left Ponte Vedra feeling very good about my game. It certainly helped that my next event was at Colonial Country Club, which I have always said is my favorite course that we play on TOUR. I always played well in Fort Worth so that just added to my confidence level.

Opening with a pair of 62s wasn't necessarily something that I knew was coming, but it was obviously just a continuation of my solid play. My hiccup came on Saturday when I didn't play well and eventually lost my lead to Charlie Wi who played great in the third round. It may seem odd, but there was a relief factor in not holding the lead. It felt as if I had been playing with a lead for almost two weeks dating back to THE PLAYERS. Despite the turnaround on Saturday, I knew I was still in a great position on Sunday.

Charlie and I both shot under par in the final round under some pretty tough conditions. It was a great day and I'm very proud to have won 13 PGA TOUR titles. Any win is great, but I was fortunate to have so many friends and family in Fort Worth last week to celebrate. My wife and kids were there, my dad and his wife, my brother-in-law and probably another 50 or so friends who drove over on Sunday from Shreveport. They were chanting L-S-U and GEAUX TIGERS on the 18th green after I won. Then, the great people at Colonial invited everyone into the clubhouse to continue the celebration. It made for some great memories.

Since returning home to Shreveport, I've been busy. You have to keep in mind that I played four straight weeks, so anytime you are gone for a month there are a lot of things that pile-up on the to-do list. Add to that all the extra media responsibilities that come with winning and it makes for a hectic few days...but don't misinterpret that as complaining. I wouldn't change a thing.

On another subject, I want to congratulate LSU freshman Austin Ernst who won the NCAA Women's Golf National Championship last week. I am so happy for her and the entire LSU women's team who finished third in the country. The LSU men's team will start their quest for a national championship this week and I want to wish them the best of luck in Stillwater. Geaux Tigers.

I will be off next week before I head to Memphis for the FedEx St. Jude Classic. It's obviously another course in which I've had a lot of past success, so I will be looking forward to going back. From Memphis I will go to D.C. for the U.S. Open at Congressional and then head north to Hartford for the Travelers Championship.

I'm in Orlando this week playing the Arnold Palmer Invitational. It's always a special event here at Bay Hill and it's great to have Arnold so involved. I've been fortunate to know him for many years, but it is important that the younger players coming through have an opportunity to meet him as well.

I've been told this is my 499th career start on the PGA TOUR. Since I won't be playing next week, my 500th career start on TOUR will be the Masters. I think it's neat that I am reaching that milestone at the biggest tournament in golf.

I look at the 500 number and have so many different reactions. First, that seems like a lot of tournaments. I know I've been on TOUR for many years, but it was still a surprise to hear that I was about to hit 500. I think any kid playing golf with aspirations of being a pro would jump at the chance to play in 500 events at the highest level.

I still have a few more years left in me, so it will be interesting to see what the final number is when I decide to hang it up.

As I approach career start 500, my 13-year-old son Carter played in his first competitive golf event this week. He is playing on his middle school golf team and he won his first tournament that he played. I wasn't able to be there, but I was excited to hear the details from him.

I know it has been a while since I checked in. I thought now was a good time for an update since I leave tomorrow for Palm Springs and the start of my 2011 season. I haven't played a competitive round of golf since the beginning of October, so I am certainly ready to get back on Tour.

I finished the 2010 season playing pretty well with good finishes at The McGladrey Classic and the PGA Grand Slam of Golf in Bermuda, so I hope to pick up where I left off. The winter weather here in Louisiana hasn't allowed me to get a lot of time on the course, but I have made it out a few times. The forecast for southern California next week looks perfect so I'm excited about getting a lot of practice time in as well.

I've spent a lot of time with my family, and it has been a joy. I've been duck hunting with my dad, my son, my brother-in-laws, nephews, etc. for the past couple of months. I can't put into words how much I enjoy it. I get to take both my son and daughter to school everyday and pick them up. It's the little things that make the time away from golf so enjoyable.

I'm with my same sponsors for 2011 -- Cleveland Golf, Humana, Oxford Golf, CitationAir and Drake Waterfowl. They are all great companies and are led by wonderful people. I'm proud to be associated with each of them.

After the Bob Hope Classic, I will come back home for a week and then head to Arizona for the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
