The big news this week at the AT&T National was the ascension of 2011 champion Nick Watney to the catbird seat of the FedExCup race. Joining him on the rise was runner-up K.J. Choi, who is now No. 2 in the season-long race for the FedExCup.

The two major players in Sunday's drama weren't the only ones making moves this week. Also making a splash at Aronimink was Jeff Overton, who had five top-three finishes last season but has not duplicated the success thus far in 2011. Overton's tie for third moved him up 24 spots from 78th to 54th in the latest standings. Adam Scott, who also tied for third, moved up 15 spots into 45th position.
The week's biggest mover, however, was Chris Stroud. The 29-year-old's tie for sixth at Aronimink -- his first top-10 finish since February -- allowed him to jump 29 spots from 132nd to 103rd in the FedExCup standings. Stroud's move inside the top 125 is very important at this point in the season as just seven weeks remain before the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup get under way.
Six 2010 PGA TOUR winners still looking to break through in 2011 (Ernie Els, Anthony Kim, Heath Slocum, Camilo Villegas, Stuart Appleby and Ian Poulter) were among those taking plunges in the standings this week. Three of those six -- Kim, Villegas and Appleby -- were in the field at Aronimink but none made it to the weekend.
David Mathis, who won the Winn-Dixie Jacksonville Open on the Nationwide Tour last year, fell out of the top 125 after missing the cut at the AT&T National. Dropping onto the bubble were Ben Curtis (125th) and Heath Slocum (124th) after both dropped seven spots in the standings.
The following are the biggest movers -- up and down -- after the AT&T National. Players bolded have a chance to build on their upswing or bounce back this week at the John Deere Classic.
