Despite shooting a 66 on Sunday, Pavin lost out to Couples by two strokes in the Dominican Republic. On the PGA TOUR, Pavin was a Saturday leader/co-leader eight times and went on to win three tournaments.
In the history of this tournament, three of the previous six second-round leaders/co-leaders have gone on to win: Jay Haas in 2006 and Bernhard Langer in 2007 and 2008. On the 2010 Champions Tour however, 14 of 23 official events have been won by Saturday leaders/co-leaders.
