Ben Crane (67-64-66-69 -- 266/ -18)

• Down by a stroke, Ben Crane drove his tee-shot on the 292-yard, par four 15th hole to within eight feet, then made the eagle putt to overtake Martin Laird's 16-under lead. He then made a clutch eight-foot birdie putt at the last to claim a 1-stroke victory over Brian Davis at the inaugural CIMB Asia Pacific Classic, Malaysia. Crane finished at 18-under 266.

• Crane began the final round with a two-shot lead over Carl Pettersson, which Crane extended at one point on the back nine to three strokes, but consecutive bogeys on hole Nos. 12-14 pulled him from the top of the leaderboard.

• Crane has three PGA TOUR titles to his credit; the 2003 BellSouth Classic, 2005 U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee and the Farmers Insurance Open, claimed earlier this year.

• Crane's victory at the 2010 CIMB Asia Pacific Classic, Malaysia does not count towards an official PGA TOUR win or official TOUR money. In addition, it does not yield a 2-year exemption. All players in the field will earn Official World Rankings points.

Brian Davis (65-70-66-66 -- 267/-17)

• Brian Davis finished birdie-eagle-birdie en route to a 5-under 66 to take the clubhouse lead at 17-under. When Ben Crane birdied the 18th hole, Davis settled for solo-second-place honors.

Martin Laird (66-69-67-66 -- 268/-16)

• Playing four groups ahead of Ben Crane, Ireland's Martin Laird made a clutch, 15-foot par-saving putt at the last to post a 5-under 66 and claim a share of third-place honors with Luke Donald.

Luke Donald (67-67-67-67 -- 268/-16)

• Despite a triple-bogey-seven at the ninth hole, Luke Donald managed a 4-under 67 to claim a share of third place.

Ernie Els (67-68-69-66 -- 270/-14)

• After birdies on his last four holes, Ernie Els posted his best round of the week with a 5-under 66 in round four to climb inside the top-5. He finished T5 with Robert Allenby, Rickie Fowler, D.J. Trahan, Ryan Moore and Mardan Mamat.

Robert Allenby (72-66-68-64 -- 270/-14)

• Robert Allenby, who began the final round T23, posted the low round of the day with a bogey-free, 7-under 64, giving him T5 honors.

• Albeit unofficial this week, the last time Robert Allenby posted a 64 in any round of a 72-hole PGA TOUR event was round two of the 2009 St. Jude Classic in Memphis, TN.

Miscellaneous

• The lone Malaysian in the field, Shaaban Hussin, posted and even-par 71 in the final round to finish 1-over for the tournament.

• The CIMB Asia Pacific Classic, Malaysia is the first tournament sanctioned by the PGA TOUR in Southeast Asia. The tournament is co-sanctioned by the PGA TOUR, Asian Tour and the Professional Golf Association of Malaysia (PGAM). In its inaugural year, it will feature an international field of 40 players competing for a $6 million purse, with the winner taking home $1,080,000. The majority of the PGA TOUR members will head to China the following week for the World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions event, played for the second year as a World Golf Championships event.

• The hardest hole of the day was again the par-4 12th, with a scoring average of 4.325. The easiest came at the par-5 3rd, playing to an average of 4.150.
