Chris Stroud and Roland Thatcher have seen plenty of each other this week. That bond will be strengthened on Sunday as they will be paired together for the 4th time in a row. The pairings are done based on player requests for the first 2 days of this tournament, and by score on the weekend.
Sunday will also determine the Kodak Challenge winner. As things stand right now, there could be a playoff. The playoff rotation obviously includes only the 17th hole, but the tees will be different. The players will start playing No. 17 from the middle tees at 430 yards. If there is still a tie, they will go back to 17, but this time play from the front tees at just 290 yards. If play continues, to the back they will go. The hole will play all 487 yards.
If play were to extend past sunset, no need to panic. Most weeks, a fog or weather delay, or even a playoff can push a tournament into a Monday finish. But, not here at Disney. Remember back in 1993 when Jeff Maggert won the tournament under the lights at the 18th. The lights were brought over from the driving range and the tournament finished with no other incident. Only at Disney World.
