EXPERT PREVIEW: PGA TOUR NETWORK on-site correspondent Brian Katrek previews Saturday's action:
|
| Friday's forecast |
Partly Cloudy Temp: 77 high/58 low Chance of precipitation 10 percent. Winds from NE at around 15 mph. |
|
More great weather is expected for Friday, and more importantly, very comparable weather. The wind velocity and direction are expected to be exactly the same from Thursday to Friday.
The players that didn't finish on Thursday will not only switch golf courses on Friday, they can also switch driving ranges. Both the Palm and Magnolia courses have their own driving ranges close to the 1st and 10th tees. A nice convenience for players on a tight schedule.
A follow up on Troy Merritt's visit to the Fantasia Gardens mini-golf course Wednesday night. Merritt had 29 putts on Thursday after playing what is the toughest mini-golf course in the country. He said the greens on the Palm course were easy by comparison. Look out for Rickie Fowler on Friday then. He and Merritt had plans to play again Thursday night.
