The PGA TOUR travels to Cromwell, Conn. for the Travelers Championship this week. Here's who the PGATOUR.COM experts like at TPC River Highlands:

EXPERT PICKS How it works: Our experts from PGATOUR.COM select the player they think will win this week's event. By using a draft process, no two picks can be the same. BUBBA WATSON. Though he only has two top-10 finishes this season, Watson's 304.5-yard average off the tee should put him in position to go low at a TOUR stop that surrenders a lot of birdies. He's finished T6 and T14 the last two years here. |
Ryan Smithson |
BRANDT SNEDEKER. It's going to take at least 20 under to win this week and I like Brandt's chances. Tied for 47th in his only start here, but his game is well-suited for this course. Plus you gotta have a lot of hair to win here, unless you're Stewart Cink.
John Swantek |
TIM PETROVIC. The former University of Hartford Hawk is on a nice little run, with three top 15 finishes in his last 4 starts. Some New England mojo will help carry the Massachusetts native to another top 15 this week. |
Lauren Deason |
DAVID TOMS. Toms earned a runner-up finish at the Travelers Championship last year and finished T6 in 2007 at TPC River Highlands. In his last three finishes this season, Toms has placed T13, T29 and T33.
Helen Ross |
SHAUN MICHEEL. A sentimental pick, to be sure, but how cool would it be to see Micheel get a win for his mother, who is seriously ill with cancer? He's playing well with a tie for fourth at home in Memphis and a share of 22nd at the U.S. Open. |
Brian Wacker |
JJ HENRY. Henry grew up an hour south of Hartford and has played well here with top-25s two of the last three years and a win in 2006. He's missed three of his last five cuts, but a return trip to Connecticut should help.
Casey Black |
RYAN MOORE. He finished T4 last year and T2 in 2006. He's also coming off a U.S. Open where he was the only player to ever hit it from the 17th tee almost into the water on 18. That takes some talent! By the way, he finished T33 at Open.
Mike McAllister |
 | BRYCE MOLDER. Has five top-10 finishes in 16 starts this year, and he tied for 19th last year at the Travelers, shooting four rounds in the 60s. Between 150-175 yards, no player on TOUR this year has a better greens in regulation average than Molder.

LAST WEEK: Helen Ross had the best-finishing sleeper once again last week with Davis Love III (T6). Mike McAllister moved up a spot into fifth place.
