• There were two bogey-free rounds Sunday. They came from David Duval (65) and Webb Simpson (69).

Carl Pettersson followed his 10-under 60 Saturday with a 67 Sunday to win the RBC Canadian Open. Here is how Zach Johnson and Steve Stricker, the last two players prior to Pettersson to shoot 60 in PGA TOUR events (Johnson has done it twice) have fared in their next round (with their result):

Player Event Scores Result
Steve Stricker 2010 John Deere Classic 60-66 Won
Zach Johnson 2009 Valero Texas Open 60-70 Won
Zach Johnson 2007 TOUR Championship 60-68 T2

• Carl Pettersson was 10-under on his par 5s this week, 4-under on the par 3s and even on his par 4s. He was 5-under on the par-5 11th hole, with three birdies and an eagle (third round).

• With Pettersson winning the RBC Canadian Open, Sweden becomes the ninth country to claim a champion at Canada's national open. The other countries are Australia, Canada, England, Fiji, New Zealand, Scotland, South Africa and the United States.

Dean Wilson picked up his second career runner-up PGA TOUR performance. His first came in 2006, at the Valero Texas Open, the same year he won his lone PGA TOUR title, The International, outside Denver.

• The par-5 11th hole played as the easiest hole this week, with a cumulative stroke average of 4.435. No player made more than one eagle there this week, with the hole yielding 28, the most of any hole.

• In consecutive rounds Saturday and Sunday, Charley Hoffman birdied holes 9 through 12. In his final-round Sunday, Hoffman had seven birdies only to stumble with a bogey-bogey finish. He still improved from a tie for 42nd through 54 holes to a tie for fourth.

Bill Lunde and Jason Bohn both had nice weekends on the par-5 ninth hole. Lunde and Bohn eagled the hole Saturday and came back Sunday with repeat performances. For the week, both players were 6-under on No. 9 after each also made birdies the first two days.

Greg Chalmers added his second top-five finish of the season when he tied for fourth. He shot a final-round 65 despite bogeying the 18th hole. Earlier this year, Chalmers tied for fifth at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

• David Duval quietly had his best PGA TOUR finish since February. At the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, Duval tied for second behind Dustin Johnson. This week, he tied for 17th after shooting a final-round, bogey-free 65, improving 39 places Sunday. This week, Duval had three rounds in the 60s (68-67-72-65), the first time he's done that since he had four sub-70 rounds on the Monterey Peninsula.

Glen Day picked up his fifth career PGA TOUR hole-in-one Sunday when he made his 3-iron shot from 211 yards on the par-3 eighth hole. In the past, Day's aces have come in bunches. He had two holes-in-one at the 1994 Canon Greater Hartford Open (second and third rounds) and aces in back-to-back weeks, at the 1996 Nissan Open and the 1996 Doral-Ryder Open.

Kirk Triplett continued his good play this week at the RBC Canadian Open. A week after tying for 15th in his college hometown of Reno at the Reno-Tahoe Open last week, Triplett, 48, tied for 17th after starting the day tied for 42nd. He finished his round with a flourish, making birdie at No. 18, one of five birdies there Sunday. After opening with a 71, he had three consecutive 67s.

• This week, Michael Letzig made his fourth consecutive PGA TOUR cut while turning in his first top 10 of the season. Letzig began Sunday tied for 42nd and improved to a tie for fourth with a final-round 65.

Jeff Quinney bogeyed his final hole of the first round (No. 18) to finish at 1-over. Quinney then didn't have an over-par hole until the 12th when he made double bogey. During the streak, he had four birdies and 14 pars in the second round, added six more birdies against 12 pars in the third round and had three additional birdies and eight pars Sunday, extending his bogey-free streak to 47 holes. Quinney tied for fourth, easily his top 2010 finish. His previous best this season was a tie for 20th at the Sony Open in Hawaii in January.

Charlie Wi picked up his second top-five finish in his last three starts with his tie for fourth at the RBC Canadian Open. At the AT&T National earlier this month, Wi had four under-par rounds at Aronimink Golf Club to finish fourth. His other top 10 this season came at The Honda Classic, where he finished eighth.

Rich Barcelo withdrew following the 13th hole Sunday with a pulled back muscle.

• Three Canadians made the cut this week, with Adam Hadwin finishing in the best position. Here are the results for Hadwin, Stephen Ames and Jon Mills:

Player Hometown Position Score
Adam Hadwin Abbotsford, B.C. T37 68-66-70-71275
Jon Mills Oshawa, B.C. T48 67-71-66-72276
Stephen Ames Calgary, Alberta T59 67-68-73-70278

• A year ago, the top finishes by a Canadian came from Stephen Ames and Chris Baryla, who both tied for eighth.
