JORDAN SPIETH. This is a big week for the 16-year-old who won over thousands of fans at the HP Byron Nelson Championship. Was that start in his hometown a fluke or will he prove that he's not a one-hit wonder at the St. Jude Classic? I'm thinking he's the real deal.
John
Swantek
JOHN SENDEN. Four top 20s at TPC Southwind, including T4 last year when they toughened up the track before the U.S. Open. The Aussie's Sunday 68 at the Memorial was the second best final round among a quality field at Muirfield Village.
Ryan
Smithson
BRANDT SNEDEKER. This is obviously a home game for him which is good because he's had a lot of weekends to work on his game. He finished tied for fifth when the course played tough in 2007..
Anne
Szeker
VAUGHN TAYLOR. Well, my original pick Arjun Atwal WDed early on Wednesday (bummer), so I'm going with Taylor. He's had some decent finishes this season, and has never missed the cut at this event. Best finish in Memphis: T5.
Brian
Wacker
TOM PERNICE JR. Hits it straight, hits a lot of greens and is a good putter. All good reasons to like Pernice this week. Here's another: Pernice has four top-25s this season, including a T7 at the HP Byron Nelson Championship a few weeks ago.
Helen
Ross
TIM PETROVIC. He hung in well last week at the Memorial Tournament, eventually tying for fifth, so you know his game is ready. That was his second top-10 in his last three starts, too.
Mike
McAllister
SPENCER LEVIN. Yes, he blew up Sunday at the Memorial with a 79. But if you look past that, you'll see a second-year player who's made 14 of 16 cuts this year, and who ranks ninth in GIR and 19th in scoring average. Hopefully, he'll shake off that 79.
Casey
Black
TROY MERRITT. One of only just a few players to go wire-to-wire at q-school. The Rookie should peform well at TPC Southwind.
Standings after Week 22
LAST WEEK: With Ricky Barnes finishing third at the Memorial, Casey Black jumped up three spots into fourth place:
