The final round of the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial is set to begin. Here's a look at Sunday's round:

| Groups We're Watching |
| Tee time |
Players |
|
1 p.m. ET No. 1 |
  |
Kenny Perry, Scott Verplank Both of these veterans are five shots back, but it will help a lot to tee off an hour before the leaders.
|
2 p.m. ET, No. 1 |
  |
Ben Crane, Zach Johnson Johnson is finally playing like the A-group player he is capable of being. Entirely possible he shoots 62 on Sunday.
|
2:10 p.m. ET, No. 1 |
  |
Bryce Molder, Brian Davis Davis did the right thing by calling a penalty on himself at the Verizon Heritage. We'll see if karma pays him back.

INSTRUCTOR'S CORNER: Ed Brill, head instructor at TOUR Academy Hilton Head Island, analyzes the playing conditions this week:

| Sunday's forecast |
Mostly sunny Temp: 96 high/70 low Sunny and hot. Light winds. |

The third round is in the books, and there's 10 players within four shots of the leaders. It should be a great Sunday finish. I haven't gotten to watch much of the Colonial this week, but, it's interesting to see some of the same names as we've seen excel here on Hilton Head Island. I've never been to Colonial, but it seems to be similar to Harbour Town in the fact that you have to drive the ball straight to be in contention.
Brian Davis is tied for the lead. Obviously he must feel both Harbour Town and Colonial are similar, as he has played very well at both venues. He hasn't done a whole lot since the playoff at Harbour Town where he called a penalty on himself.
Wouldn't it be appropriate if Davis can finally visit the winner's circle? He did the right thing in the playoff and he will be rewarded -- it's just a question of when. Bryce Molder is also due to cash that first winner's check. Kris Blanks would be my darkhorse as he tied for fifth at Harbour Town. I guess that old statement of "horses for courses" really holds true.
