Apr. 25, 2010

Weather: Sunny with afternoon temperatures in the lower 80s. Winds from the south at 10-15 mph.

The third round resumed at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, concluding at 10:45 a.m. Final-round tee times will run from 9:45 a.m. -- 11:45 a.m. There will be no re-pairing.

After a third-round, 1-under 71, Jason Bohn takes a two-stroke lead over Alex Cejka into the final round. Paired in the last group with John Senden (-5) and Jeff Overton (-10), the threesome begins the final round at 11:45 a.m.

This marks the second time Jason Bohn has held at least a share of the 54-hole lead on the PGA TOUR. He previously was tied for the lead after round three of the 2005 Deutsche Bank Championship, before ultimately finishing second.

Previously this year on the PGA TOUR, the third-round leader has gone on to win six times, most recently by Jim Furyk at the Transitions Championship.

Jason Bohn is making his ninth start on TOUR this week, with a previous-best finish being a T10 at the Northern Trust Open in February. He finished T11 at the Shell Houston Open three weeks ago.

Should Jason Bohn win, he would become the third wire-to-wire winner on TOUR this year. Previously, Ryan Palmer achieved the feat at the Sony Open in Hawaii, as did Dustin Johnson at the AT&T Pebble Beach national Pro-Am.

Jason Bohn's only other PGA TOUR win was the 2005 B.C. Open.

Alex Cejka birdied the par-5 18th hole to post a third-round, 4-under 68 to get to 11-under and within two of Jason Bohn's lead.

Alex Cejka is making his seventh start at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans this week. He best previous finish here was T8 in 2007. He missed the cut in New Orleans last year.

Prior to this week, Alex Cejka had made 10 starts in 2010, in which he made the cut five times. His best finish of the season thus far is a T10 at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.

Alex Cejka remains in search of his first PGA TOUR win in his 217th start this week. He is the owner of 11 International titles.

Even though he trails Jason Bohn by two strokes, it's interesting to note the last 54-hole lead belonging to Alex Cejka was the 2009 PLAYERS Championship. Cejka ballooned in the final round with a 79 to finish T9. The 2010 PLAYERS Championship is two weeks away.

2005 Zurich Classic of New Orleans champion Chris Couch bogeyed the last hole to finish with a 4-under 68 and settle in at 10-under, four strokes off Jason Bohn's lead.

Chris Couch has two top-10s this season after beginning the year with a 4-digit Official World Golf Ranking. After a pair of T4 finishes at the Waste Management Phoenix Open and the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard, Couch jumped to 205th in the ranking. His career-high world ranking was 103rd, the week after his victory.

Chris Couch is playing out of the Major Medical Extension category, with 21 tournaments to earn $796,087 and retain that status for the remainder of the 2010 season. The Zurich Classic is Couch's 10th start this year. He has earned $577,677 in his previous nine starts and requires $218,410 to retain his current status. With a 2-way tie for sixth or better this week he will achieve that goal.

John Daly withdrew after the third hole (his 12th of the round), citing a hip injury.
