KAPALUA, Hawaii -- Lucas Glover posted 66-65--131 to take a three-stroke lead at 15-under over John Rollins (68-66--134) at the halfway point of the 2010 SBS Championship. Defending champion Geoff Ogilvy is tied for third at 11 under with Sean O'Hair, Matt Kuchar and Martin Laird.

• Glover has failed to convert either of his two previous second-round leads/co-leads into victory, with a T7 finish at the 2008 Verizon Heritage and a T17 result at the 2006 Bay Hill Invitational.

• Glover posted six consecutive 3s on holes 6-11 in the second round - birdie, birdie, par, eagle, birdie, par -- and eight 3s in a nine-hole stretch.

• Glover is making his second career start at the season-opening event in Kapalua after finishing sixth in 2006.

• Glover is hoping to stop an eight-year streak of foreign-born players winning the SBS Championship (2009-Ogilvy, 2008-Daniel Chopra, 2007-Vijay Singh; 2004-2006-Stuart Appleby, 2003-Ernie Els, 2002-Sergio Garcia).

• Rollins has hit 33 of 36 greens in regulation over the first two rounds and is second in that category behind Stewart Cink (68-69), who has hit 34 of 36.

• Cink holed a 61-yard pitch for eagle at the par-5 ninth hole.

• Defending champion Ogilvy, the only past champion in the field, is tied for third at 11 under through 36 holes. In the history of the SBS Championship, six players have won the tournament in back-to-back years: Stuart Appleby (2004-05-06), Lanny Wadkins (1982-83), Tom Watson (1979-80), Arnold Palmer (1965-66), Jack Nicklaus (1963-64) and Gene Littler (1955-56-57).

• Ogilvy posted his sixth consecutive round in the 60s (67-68-65-68-69-66) at the Plantation Course and is 35 under for that stretch of play.

• Y.E. Yang (70-74) posted a triple bogey at the final hole for a 1-over 74 and was the only player in the field of 28 not to shoot under par in the second round. The last time all but one player in the field were under par was in the third round of the 2005 SBS Championship when Sergio Garcia shot an even 73.

• All four major championship winners from 2009 are participating this week at the SBS Championship --Angel Cabrera (68-68), Glover (66-65), Cink (68-69) and Yang (70-74). This represents the first time since 2004 this has occurred when Mike Weir (Masters), Jim Furyk (US Open), Ben Curtis (British Open) and Shaun Micheel (PGA) competed at Kapalua.

• Driving the ball long and straight is always an advantage, particularly at Kapalua. Six players ranked in the top-20 in Total Driving (distance and accuracy combined) after the 2009 season are in the field this week: Glover (2), Perry (T3), Rollins (T3), Ryan Moore (T8), Heath Slocum (T8) and Laird (T17). All but Slocum are in the top-10 through 36 holes. Jonathan Byrd, who did not win in 2009, was the No. 1 ranked player in Total Driving last year.

• At one stage early in the second round 11 players were tied for the lead at 7 under before Moore birdied the par-5 ninth to move to 8 under and break the tie.

• O'Hair and Paul Casey recorded eagle 3s at the par-5 18th hole to take the lead in the Kodak Challenge after the second round of the 2010 PGA TOUR season. For more on the Kodak Challenge, click here.

• Bogey-free rounds on Friday: Rollins (66), Ogilvy (66), Kuchar (68), Laird (68), Zach Johnson (69) and Troy Matteson (70). Kuchar is the only player in the field who is bogey-free through 36 holes.

• The par-3 eighth hole played the most difficult for the second consecutive day at 3.107. The par-5 ninth hole played the easiest in both the first and second rounds -- at 4.250 for both rounds.
