PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- The Military Appreciation Ceremony with special guest Tim McGraw, scheduled for 5 p.m. Wednesday, has been moved to the TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse Lawn.
The program was originally scheduled to take place on the 18th green, but due to overnight rain, it has been moved in an effort to keep traffic off of the golf course and preserve conditions for the competition.
The Military Appreciation Ceremony will include pageantry by military personnel, the National Anthem by 4TROOPS (U.S. combat veterans who have since signed with Sony records) and a flyover by the world renowned Blue Angels, as well as remarks from PGA TOUR Commissioner Tim Finchem, two-time PLAYERS champion Hal Sutton and Admiral Townsend "Tim" Alexander Commander of Navy Region Southeast.
McGraw will close the program with a four-song set dedicated to the military and their families.
