It shouldn't be a surprise at all this season on the Nationwide Tour when yet another different winner emerges.

This time it was Scott Gardiner, who needed four playoff holes to beat Joe Affrunti and David Branshaw on Sunday at the Chattanooga Classic. Gardiner became the 22nd different winner this season and the win also gave him a boost on the money list.

He started the tournament at No. 62 but moved up to 24th on the money list, just inside the top 25 as the season continues to wind down.

The tour heads to Miami this week for the Miccosukee Championship and its the second-to-last full-field tournament of the season.

Gardiner, who two-putted for birdie on the fourth playoff hole for the win, was five shots off the pace when the final round started but his 66 was good enough to get into the playoff.

"I really didn't think about winning," he said. "There were a lot of guys around my number that were playing well this week. I was just trying to have the best finish I could."

The scramble to stay inside the top 25 by the end of the season will continue. The top 25 earn PGA TOUR cards for 2011. With two full field tournaments and the year-ending Tour Championship, it's getting late for a lot of players.

Scott
GARDINER
Sure, a victory is nice but he's still not secure with his place on the money list. He is 24th right now, and hell need two solid weeks to stay in the top 25 -- but he is hot at the right time.
Brian
SMOCK
Beware of the players hovering near the top 25 -- and Smock is one of those who is ranked 36th. He tied for second at the Miccosukee Championship last season and is in need of a good week to get closer to the top 25.
Jason
GORE
He's shown a little more spunk of late and last week had four eagles as he finished tied for 16th, his best showing on the Nationwide Tour this season. Gore sits way back on the money list, but with some good play last week has some confidence.
Joe
AFFRUNTI
He came very close to winning on Sunday after being the second- and third-round leader. The 29-year-old Chicagoan has seven top 25 showings this season and is 28th on the money list.
Daniel
SUMMERHAYS
He has a chance to become the tour's top money winner in a season without winning a tournament. He has been Mr. Consistent this season, making 14 of his last 17 cuts with three runner-up finishes. Another top-10 this week would not be a surprise.
