Rickie Fowler was named PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year on Saturday night.

Fowler, 21, is the youngest PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year since Tiger Woods won the award in 1996 at the age of 20. Fowler totaled seven top-10s in 28 starts, including runner-up finishes at the Waste Management Phoenix Open and the Memorial Tournament presented by Morgan Stanley.

Fowler finished 32nd in the final FedExCup standings, and sits 25th in the Official World Golf Ranking after beginning the season at the Sony Open in Hawaii No. 249. Other Rookie of the Year nominees were Derek Lamely, Rory McIlroy and Alex Prugh.

"Rickie made an immediate splash on TOUR this year and is one of the many rising young stars that look to challenge players such as [Player of the Year] Jim [Furyk] in the coming years," PGA TOUR Commissioner Tim Finchem said.

Meanwhile, Jim Furyk was named the TOUR's Player of the Year, while Jamie Lovemark was honored as the Nationwide Tour's Player of the Year.
