KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) -- Thailand's Kiradech Aphibarnrat topped the leaderboard at 9 under with four holes left in his second round Friday in the rain-delayed Malaysian Open.

The 20-year-old Kiradech holed a 30-yard chip for an eagle on the par-5 fifth hole -- his final hole of the day on the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club course.

Spain's Alejandro Canizares (69) followed at 8 under.

A lightning storm stopped play for 2 hours, 20 minutes in the afternoon, leaving 58 players unable to complete the round.
