GURGAON, India (AP) -- Barry Lane has shot his second consecutive 5-under 67 to take a one-stroke lead after two rounds of the Avantha Masters tournament.
First-round leader Marcel Siem of Germany, Andrew Dodt of Australia, David Drysdale of Scotland and Chan Yin-shin of Taiwan all are tied for second.
Lane began Friday's second round tied for third, three shots behind Siem. Three birdies in his opening nine holes Friday helped the 49-year-old Englishman close the gap.
He picked up another shot at the first -- though that was subsequently canceled out with a bogey at the fifth -- before two more birdies moved Lane to 10 under.
Darren Clarke of Northern Ireland moved into contention with one of the best rounds of the day. His 66 featured nine birdies, including seven in his last seven holes.
