FedExCup Movers: Day secures playoff spot

Last week Jason Day was hovering around the FedExCup cutline; this week he's in the top 25. With his win in Texas, Day picked up 500 FedExCup points and moved from 136th to 23rd in the standings. Second-place finisher Blake Adams also vaulted himself into a playoff-safe zone at 53rd.

While Adams and Day secured their spots, several other players slid further into potential cut territory. Near the line is Fred Couples, who went from 115 to 124, Bretty Quigley, who went from 124 to 132, and Charley Hoffman, who went from 111 to 119. Last year it took 354 points to make the FedExCup Playoffs. There are just 14 events until The Barclays and the afore mentioned players are still a top-5 finish away from that mark.
