KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia -- With high attendance expected for next week's Asia Pacific Golf Summit, golf legend Gary Player prepares to deliver the closing address to end the conference on Wednesday, Oct. 28. The career Grand Slam winner and his design company, Gary Player Design, recognize that Asia is a major player in the golf industry today and want to use their experience and expertise in the region to continue to contribute to the development of championship golf across the continent.

Player will discuss the rise of golf in Asia, his environmental efforts in golf course design and the inclusion of golf in the 2016 Olympics in Brazil. An international athlete with 50-plus years of global travel to his credit, Gary Player is one of few in the industry suited to discuss the importance of growing golf around the world.

The Summit, originally planned for 300 delegates, has surpassed the 500 attendance mark, indicating that Asia is a developing force in the golf industry. This year's conference will be held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Oct. 26-28. For more information, visit www.golfconference.org.
