PGA TOUR/Nationwide Tour player Chris Smith said in a statement released Thursday that his two children, each injured in an auto accident that claimed the life of Smith's wife Beth, are now out of the hospital.
Smith also said he has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support he has received from his friends and acquaintances in the golf community following the death of his wife on June 21.

"Most importantly, our family would like to thank everyone who has reached out to offer their condolences during this difficult time," Smith said in his statement. "It is clear that Beth has touched many lives as the kind thoughts and fond memories that we have shared with others since her passing have been truly overwhelming. We also can't say enough about the entire golf community which continues to be so supportive of our family.
"Both of our children are out of the hospital and at home resting for next week's services, which will be a fitting tribute to Beth and all that she has meant to us."
Details about the visitation and funeral service were also released. The visitation is set for Monday, July 13, from 4-8 p.m. ET at Eikenberry Eddy Funeral Home in Peru, Ind. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, at Main Street United Methodist Church in Peru.
All friends and family are welcome to the visitation and funeral service.
In addition, friends of the family have set up a memorial fund to honor Beth and provide support for children Abigail and Cameron's rehabilitation and college needs. All contributions should be sent to:
