Brian Gay, Chad Campbell, Brandt Snedeker
Tee time: 7:50 a.m.
Tee: No. 1
Total TOUR wins: 6
Why you should watch: Gay is coming off his first TOUR title a couple of weeks ago in Cancun. Campbell has three top-12 finishes in six starts this season, most recently a tie for 11th at the Northern Trust Open. He was 20th in his most recent start last week at The Honda Classic.

Snedeker is trying to avoid the whole sophomore slump thing. He's struggled a bit with consistency in his seven starts so far in 2008, but he does have two top-10 finishes, most recently a ninth at the FBR Open in late January.

2008 Stat Comparison
Player Events Cuts Made 1st 2nd 3rd Top 10 Top 25 Scoring Average
Snedeker 7 5 -- -- -- 2 2 71.07
Gay 5 4 1 -- -- 1 2 69.54

Stephen Ames, Scott Verplank, Will MacKenzie
Tee time: 7:50 a.m.
Tee: No. 10
Total TOUR wins: 15
Why you should watch: Ames has two top-10 finishes this season and is in the top 25 in the FedExCup standings. Dave Lancer from the TOUR pointed out earlier this week that Verplank enters the week on a streak of 27 rounds of par or better.

MacKenzie, one of the TOUR's best interview subjects, is hoping to make his third consecutive cut after missing his first four of the season.

2008 Stat Comparison
Player Events Cuts Made 1st 2nd 3rd Top 10 Top 25 Scoring Average
Ames 4 3 -- -- 1 2 2 70.14
Verplank 4 4 -- -- -- 1 3 70.82

Ernie Els, Geoff Ogilvy, Heath Slocum
Tee time: 12:50 p.m.
Tee: No. 1
Total TOUR wins: 21
Why you should watch: Els comes off his first victory since 2004 last week at The Honda Classic. As Dave Shedloski pointed out in his TOUR Insider column this week, Els has a history of following up victories with strong encores, having finished 11th or better after eight of his previous 15 PGA TOUR wins. Ogilvy is off to a very tough start in 2008, having missed three of four cuts this season.

Slocum kicked off his season with a top-10 at the Sony Open in Hawaii, but has struggled since, missing two of four cuts.

Els 2 2 1 -- -- 1 1 66.76
