After Justin Leonard grabbed his 12th PGA TOUR victory at the Stanford St. Jude Championship, emails poured in congratulating the consummate Southern gentleman from Texas. Here are some of the fan responses:
Congrats on the win, Justin! All of us LH and UT alums were cheering you on back in Dallas. Great job! John

Way to go Justin! Once again you showed the heart of a champion! See ya at the Ryder Cup! Nate
Justin, it is great to see you playing well. I am confident that if you are in Kentucky for the Ryder Cup that you will have a great positive influence on the team. Congratulations. Mike
Justin, congratulations on the win this week. You are very fun to watch, and hopefully I will be playing golf with you one day on the PGA TOUR. Your play has inspired me as a child to play competitive golf. Now I'm playing Division 1 golf. It is people like you who are a great influence to younger kids. Thanks for everything you done for the game of golf, and best of luck in the tournaments to come. Sincerely, Johnny
Justin, let me congratulate you for your most recent win in Memphis at the Stanford St. Jude Championship. Your quiet demeanor yet determined approach to golf exemplifies true sportsmanship. Good luck in the U.S. Open. Craig
Bravo, Justin! Your final round was fantastic, and then you proved to be the best man in the playoff. Who says "slow-and-steady" doesn't win the race? Your style is unmatched, and you deserved this win. Hopefully, this will carry over to next week at Torrey Pines. Good luck! Jeff
Justin, my family was so happy to see you win in Memphis today. I carried my 5-year-old son around to see you tie for the SWC title at the Lubbock Country Club. You gave him your Titleist after the final-hole birdie. He is 21 now and still thinks you're just great. Thanks for being you, a gentleman and a champion. Hook'em Horns! Brooks
Way to go, Justin! We love great players in Memphis, and you are one of the best. Thanks for coming to our tournament, and thanks for making it so exciting! Josh
Justin, from a huge fan in Carrollton, Texas, a big CONGRATS. I have followed you throughout your career. Great job. I also appreciate your faith and witness. Jim
Congratulations on your victory in the Stanford St. Jude Championship! I have been impressed with your play ever since your first summer on TOUR when I saw you play at the Anheuser-Busch tournament in Williamsburg, Va. Glad to see you in the winner's circle again. Charlie
Way to go. Have been rooting for you since the British Open win 11 years ago and will be in the gallery at the U.S. Open this week following and cheering you on with my Longhorn hat and relatives. Mike
Congratulations, Justin! We have been your avid fans for over 12 years, and what a pleasure it is! You are our hero. Best wishes to Amanda and the beautiful family, as well. Susan
Great tournament! Great win! Congratulations from a fan from Salado, Texas. Jean
Hi Justin. Love it every time you win mostly because of what you SAID after winning your British Open. The speech you gave was so humble, so smooth, so jam-packed with class and character. To this day, friends and co-workers with children read it and suggest that they might want to raise their kids with the ultimate goal of the kids being able to just APPROACH the level of maturity and personal dignity that you displayed in that speech. Rest assured that almost everyone that reads it agrees with my assessment and indeed has their kids read it. Is there a video of that speech available anywhere? Ah, that was all about me wanting the video . . . CONGRATS on the great win and enjoy it, sir! Dan
Justin, congratulations on your latest win! I have been a big fan of yours since '93 when I watched you both days of the Walker Cup. It's always nice to see you playing well. Best wishes on the rest of this season. I'll be pulling for you. Mark
Great win this week, Justin. Amazing putt you holed on the 2nd playoff hole. Good luck at the U.S. Open. Bryan
Congrats. Well done, Justin. This was long overdue. I prayed you would win last night, and I'm so pleased you did. Enjoy it. Mike
Congratulations on winning in my home state! Thought you had made the putt on No. 18 in regulation. All three of you made great shots in the playoff, but you made the putt! All the best. Bill
Great way to finish. A solid round and a great birdie putt to win. Congratulations! Ken
Congratulations Justin. I hope your success is continued this year. Major time! From Roanoke, Texas, Leonard
