Editor's note: PGATOUR.COM has tried to make our experts work a little harder when they make their picks each week. The favorite can be anyone in the field, although Tiger Woods can only be used seven times during the year. Sleepers can't have won in 2008 or had a top-10 in their last five starts. A sleeper can't be ranked in the top 30 in the field, either.

Pick: David Toms
When it comes to Memphis around this time of year, I think two things -- Beale Street and David Toms playing great golf. Toms practically owns TPC Southwind. Since 2002 at the Stanford St. Jude Championship, Toms has finished no worse than a tie for 10th and has won twice, with a second, a third and a fourth. As we saw just last week, comfort and past experience can play huge roles in the outcome. It hasn't been a great season for Toms, but if he's going to turn things around, this would be the place. And if not, he can head to Beale Street to sing the blues.

Pick: David Toms
This one was a total no-brainer. His record at TPC Southwind is unbelievable -- in the past six years alone he has won twice and placed second, third and fourth. His worst finish in that six-year stretch? A measly tie for 10th in 2006. One could argue that Toms hasn't hit his stride this year -- he's only finished inside the top 25 four times -- but he did hold the first-round lead at the Wachovia Championship so it looks like the 12-time PGA TOUR winner might have a few victories left in him.

I thought about Joe Ogilvie, who's making a bit of a run, but I settled on a former champ in Memphis who's this close to another win somewhere. He's been derailed by wind, a drainpipe, a shot here or there of late. Time to snap that streak.

Toms, a two-time champion here, is suffering from back troubles and has slipped down the Official World Golf Rankings because he has failed to register a top-10 this year. But an old and familiar place might be the tonic he needs to assert himself again.

Pick: David Toms
Toms is a darkhorse -- believe it or not. Two of his last four PGA TOUR victories have come right here at the TPC Southwind. Although the course has been slightly modified the sight lines and the putting surfaces are the same. Sight lines, visualization and comfort on the greens are what make for a nice homecoming. Look for Toms to feel right at home along the Mississippi River this week.

Pick: David Toms
For the past six years, he has owned this course. Toms has not finished outside of the top-10 since 2001. In fact, five of the last six years, he was in the top-five in Memphis, including winning the tournament in back-to-back years, 2003 and 2004. Last season, Toms finished 25th in the FedExCup standings but is currently 118th. Look for Toms to wake up this week at TPC Southwind.

Pick: Fred Funk
I know he's missed three straight cuts on the PGA TOUR, but this is a track that suits his game (accuracy is the mandate, not distance). Funk has six straight checks here, including a third and a ninth, and I fully expect we'll get four strong rounds out of him again in Memphis.

Pick: David Toms
He hasn't finished out of the top 10 here since 2002 -- and that stretch includes back-to-back wins, as well as one second, a third and a fourth. Admittedly, Toms hasn't been playing up to his standards but this may be just the place to regain that spark.

Pick: David Toms
Toms hasn't gotten in gear all year His back has been getting in the way. Still, he has a string of six straight top-10 finishes at TPC Southwind, and that just can't be ignored.

Pick: David Toms
This is like stealing. The man with two victories and a runner-up the last five years in Memphis qualifying as a sleeper. If David Toms doesn't finish in the top-five this week, I'll wear my leather, Elvis jumpsuit in next week's TOUR Fantasy Insider. Now, let's all hope and pray.
