Editor's note: PGATOUR.COM has tried to make our experts work a little harder when they make their picks each week. The favorite can be anyone in the field, although Tiger Woods can only be used seven times during the year. Sleepers can't have won in 2008 or had a top-10 in their last five starts. A sleeper can't be ranked in the top 30 in the field, either.

Pick: Brett Wetterich
It's safe to say the 2008 season has been a struggle for the former U.S. Ryder Cup player. I'm looking past all that and the fact that he missed the cut at the Memorial Tournament presented by Morgan Stanley. Why, you ask? If I'm going to have any chance at running down Win McMurry in the expert standings, it's time for some obscure picks. Although, Wetterich might not be all that obscure. He tied for second at the Memorial in 2006 and is one of the longest hitters on TOUR. That will come in handy at Muirfield Village, a place that seems annually saturated when the TOUR comes to town.

Pick: Mike Weir
Weir has taken a roller-coaster ride this season, alternating between missed cuts and top-20 finishes. But he's on an upslope at the moment as he comes off a tie for 32nd at THE PLAYERS Championship and a tie for 15th at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. His past performances in Jack's tournament have been impressive -- he finished third in 2003 and fourth in 2000 at Muirfield Village Golf Club. Watch out for this lefty at the Memorial.

Had more than a few moments at Colonial, including a third-round 66. Still working his way back to the upper-most echelon, but it might not be long until he's there. Like Mickelson, not a great record here, but does have a pair of top fives.

Closed with confidence-boosting 66 at Colonial. Look for a carry-over this week.

Pick: John Rollins
Rollins doesn't have a top-10 to his credit this year, which is pretty remarkable. But his game has shown signs of life lately with a closing 66 a couple of weeks ago in Atlanta. The fact that he missed the cut last week doesn't bother me at all. He finished 16th a year ago in FedExCup points and to make a similar run through the playoffs he is going to need to get going pretty quickly. Look for John to start his second half run this week.

mcmurry.72.jpg

Win McMurry
Host, PGA TOUR Today
Pick: Vaughn Taylor
While the Augusta native has only made eight of 15 cuts this season and didn't play the event in 2007, he's teeing it up this year at Jack's invitational tournament. In an event that has had only one first-time winner, Taylor tied for seventh in 2006 and for 24th in his first start in 2005. Taylor only has one top-10 finish this season, at the Bob Hope, but I think this week the two-time PGA TOUR champion could find himself with another. Plus, Taylor repeats top performances at tracks that suit his game. Both of his trophies came from the Reno-Tahoe Open, where he successfully defended his title.

Pick: Mike Weir
He played well at the Masters, he hit the ball well last week at Colonial, and while his Memorial history is hit-and-miss, he does have a third and a fourth on his resume at Jack's Place. Let's give the affable Canadian lefty a shot.

Pick: Brett Quigley
Quigley hasn't finished lower than 25th in his last three starts, including a tie for 15th last week. The veteran, who had knee surgery at the end of last season, should come to Muirfield Village with confidence, too, after tying for 11th last year.

Pick: Paul Casey
Not putting his best game on display of late, though he showed a few signs of life at the BMW PGA Championship. Needs to find his form with the Ryder Cup looming on a Jack Nicklaus-designed course. Perhaps handling this week's Nicklaus layout, Muirfield Village, will get him going. His two starts at the Memorial have yielded ties for 31st and 18th.

Pick: Fredrik Jacobson
Here's what my diligent research produced; I couldn't find another player who fit the sleeper criteria. So, going with the Swede, who has missed three of his last four cuts. Fear not, he came to Muirfield Village after three straight missed cuts last year and left with a tie for fifth. Plus, he has cool hair.
