Adam Scott opened his second round with four consecutive birdies en route to a 3-under-par 67. His leading total of 135 through two rounds is the highest at the EDS Byron Nelson Championship since Payne Stewart shot 67-68--135 en route to winning the event in 1990.
Adam Scott has now made 13 consecutive cuts, third-longest on TOUR.
The 36-hole leader Adam Scott is 92nd in FedExCup points with one top-10 (tied for ninth at the World Golf Championships-CA Championship) in five starts. In one of the starts, in the defense of his Shell Houston Open title, he set the Redstone Golf Club course record with a first-round 9-under-par 63 but was forced to withdraw due to illness. Scott has found success on the European Tour, as he won the Commercialbank Qatar Masters presented by Dolphin Energy earlier this year with a final-round 61 and is ninth in the current Order of Merit.
